Pastors – The primary responsibilities of the pastor are preaching and teaching. Pastors are called by God to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, administer the sacraments, and care for the members of the congregation. They are to build up and equip the church for its ministry in the world.
Elders – Elders are primarily and particularly responsible for the spiritual oversight of the congregation. They are God’s gift to the church to teach us the Word of God, exercise church discipline, govern the church wisely, and make decisions for the good of the Lord’s people. God has placed them in authority over us and as church members we need to follow the lawful direction they provide.
Deacons – Deacons are primarily responsible to ensure the church is meeting the basic needs of its members and the community and help spread the gospel and support other evangelical needs and causes.
